For music stores

The questions music stores should be getting named for.

Players ask assistants very exact questions — gauge, scale length, what fits what. You know those answers cold. The trouble is whether a machine can tell you do.

What your buyers are asking

I'm left-handed and want a short-scale bass — anything good under $600?
What strings should I buy for a 3/4 size cello?
My daughter's starting clarinet — what reed strength should I buy her?
I play small venues. Is there a tube amp worth buying under $800?

Why the answer names somebody else

  • Variants (gauge, finish, orientation) buried in the title instead of structured options.
  • No GTIN, so the assistant can't tell one model from a near-identical one.
  • Descriptions written for browsing, not for the spec questions players ask.

Sample report

Check your own site and you get exactly this, on your own business: a score for how well the assistants can read you, what's in the way in plain language, and — for questions like the ones above — whether you're named, somebody else is, or nobody is yet. Where you're not named, we tell you who was. We work out what you actually are before grading you, so you're never marked down for lacking something your kind of business doesn't have.
